Our Top 5 Places for Team Building Activities

At L’Atelier Co-working, we pride ourselves with the tightness of our community. We love our members and love expanding our ever growing family. As such, every month we explore Vancouver and go on a team building event. Below are our favourite hang out spots:

  1. Escape Rooms: this was truly a super fun experience. We head to SmartyPantz in Gastown and spent 45 minutes locked in a room trying to get out. Escape Rooms are a great way to get people talking and getting to know the strengths of your team, they also get shy people out of their shell! Of Course with the combined intelligence of our members we got out!
  2. Bowling: Commodore Lanes was a great place to go to for a bowling session. It was interesting to instil a sense of competition among our community. Turns out mini bowling isn’t as easy as we thought! This activity was really fun, and Commodore lanes is great for hanging out after you’re done with the games.
  3. The Park: Vancouver summers cannot be wasted staying indoors! Going to the park is a great way to hang out and talk. Everyone was in charge of bringing a snack or drink, and we walked to the park on a beautiful sunny day. This is a great way to get to meet your coworkers in a non-professional and relaxed setting. It’s always better to have this type of outing on a Friday, since that’s when most people are the most relaxed and ready for the weekend
  4. After Work Drinks: an all time favourite, nothing beats some Happy Hour drinks after work. This is a great way to loosen people up and meet in a casual comfortable setting. Check out our top 5 favourite bars!
  5. In-house Games: sometimes it’s good to just stay in the office and play some games! Board games, charades, and plenty of other games are excellent when it comes to breaking the ice. In addition to that, having a fun activity inside the office makes the space more comfortable and homey, hence removing the stress stigma surrounding offices.
